200days to go countdown ceremony
On Thursday, 14th August remaining 200 days until the World Championships, we held “200 days to go Countdown Ceremony” to widely inform attractions of Freestyle discipline & the World Championships and also to enliven the mood of the big sports event.
The countdown event included an award ceremony for the great championship slogans, selected from many submissions from all over Japan, a revealing ceremony of special countdown clock displaying days until the Championships and also a ceremony to form the campaign group for promotion of the Championships in and outside Fukushima.
“We have just 200 days for the Championships. Let’s make the best for the event step by step with today’s event as an actual start of the PR after the fall.” the vice-president of the Organizing Committee, Motoo Tsugane, who is Inawashiro town mayor, gave the greeting.
At the award ceremony, the secretary-general, Hata thanked “We appreciate a lot of great submissions from all over Japan. We will utilize this slogan at the PR activities”.
During the revealing ceremony, the countdown clock designed with the selected slogan was unveiled to the public where the audience was watching.
In the end, everybody joined in the call of the campaign group which has just made, “Do our best for the Championships! Let’s go!” and the event was closed.
It was drizzling in the morning but the rain just stopped with a miracle during the ceremonies.
